Kwankwaso Responds to NNPP Victory in Kano Governorship Election

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso expressed his gratitude to God after the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) won the Kano state governorship election. The NNPP candidate, Abba Kabir Yusuf, was declared the winner of the election, defeating the incumbent deputy governor, Nasiru Gawuna who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The results announced by the returning officer in Kano, Ahmad Dokko Ibrahim, showed that the NNPP had 1,019,602 votes, while the APC had 890,705 votes, the PDP had 15,957 votes and the LP had 5,409 votes. Kwankwaso took to Twitter to express his joy and wrote: “Alhamdulillah. Thank you, Kano! – RMK”
