Mustapha Confirms President Buhari Will Step Down on May 29th

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council, has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari will not remain in office beyond May 29. He made this statement during a press conference on Tuesday, March 28. Mustapha emphasized that the transition process is going as planned and all measures are being taken to ensure a seamless transition. He further noted that the court proceedings will continue regardless of the outcome and the federal government has already released a statement to that effect. He concluded by assuring that the transition process is on track and that there will be a peaceful transfer of power on May 29.
