Ondo Pastor Arrested for Alleged Rape and Murder of Nursing Mother in Church

The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended 37-year-old pastor Kayode Salami for allegedly raping and killing a nursing mother, Adejoke Oloje, inside his church. It is reported that the deceased had come to the Oke-Irapada C&S Church with her cousin, Aderonke, to worship for the first time. Mrs. Deborah, Adejoke’s mother, said that when she went to the church to visit her daughter, she found her lying on the floor with her pants removed and immediately called for help. The case was reported to the police station in Idanre and the pastor was arrested. Pastor Salami denied the accusations, claiming that Adejoke had come to stay in the church on her own accord and that he had been informing her whenever he was entering or leaving the room. He also stated that he and his family had rented an apartment outside of the church.
