Poland's Ambassador to France Warns of Possible Involvement in War if Ukraine Cannot Defend Itself Against Russia

Jan Emeryk Rościszewski, the Polish ambassador to France, has warned that if Ukraine fails to defend itself against Russia, Poland will have no choice but to enter the conflict. In an interview with the French TV channel LCI, he stated that the basis of their civilization and culture would be threatened if they did not take action. The Polish Embassy in France released a statement clarifying that there was no announcement of Poland’s direct involvement in the conflict, but rather a warning of the consequences that a Ukrainian defeat could have. Last week, Poland announced that they would be supplying Ukraine with MiG-29 fighter jets within four to six weeks, and have already sent 14 German-made Leopard 2 tanks.
